The police appeal to the foot pilgrims to move in groups after confirming the movement of the leopard along the Srivari Mettu trail.
A leopard scare along the Srivari Mettu trail resurfaced on Friday, leaving trekking devotees in a panic.
Devotees walking the path saw a big cat crossing the road at the 150th step on the way from Srinivasa Mangapuram, which is considered the shortest route to the hill temple. Panicked devotees raised an alarm and ran.
The sulabhu workers who were on duty immediately alerted the TTD security and police personnel who reached the spot immediately. Forest officials confirmed the movement of the big cat and also collected its fresh pugs.
The TTD security and police personnel appealed to the devotees not to go out singly but move in groups with their children in the middle for safety.
