According to ANI, an FIR has been registered against Trinamool Congress (TMC) president and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for allegedly making inflammatory and communal remarks during a political rally ahead of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections.
The case was filed at the Hare Street police station in the Kolkata Central Division under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The complaint relates to statements allegedly made by Banerjee during a recent election-related rally.
