Officers of the anti -corruption office (ACB) in the district of SRIKACULM arrested the legal inspector of the Metrology Palasy, T. Sridhar, while on Thursday he allegedly received a bribe of 1.78 lakh. ACB has acted on complaints received from the technician responsible for repairing legal metrology equipment. The technician claimed that the inspector demanded a bribe for issuing a certificate of verification. ACB officers imprisoned Sridhara while he received the amount in his office.
The accused the inspector will be produced on Friday at ACB Special Court in Visakhapatnam.
