Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Gurajada Vizianagaram Vice-Chancellor VV Subbarao on Friday advised engineering colleges to encourage students to pursue relevant new courses in view of significant changes taking place in the global job market due to artificial intelligence and other technological advancements. He was the chief guest at the Training Program for Placement Officers organized by the Andhra Pradesh Officers Training and Placement Consortium at Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vizianagaram.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that emerging technologies have made software companies to adopt new strategies in selecting students during recruitment drives. Quantum AI Global CEO Founder Sanjay Chittore said students who focus on new skills and innovation need not worry about career opportunities as new avenues will continue to emerge despite the growing influence of advanced technology. Consortium President NV Surendra Babu, College Principal VV Rama Reddy, Dean G. Prakash Babu and others were present.
