Former Minister of Angbati Rambaba launched a scary attack on the government of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Sunday and accused her of suppressing media freedom through false cases and attempting to divert from repeating floods in Amaravati.
“Isn’t that the fact that Amaravati was immersed after the rain? Weren’t capital in the virtual sea?” He asked and remembered the main Minister N. Chandrababa Naidu’s own confession that the water from the conaveeti vaagu must be pumped into the river Krishna. Mr. Rambaba said he personally witnessed several villages in the capital city. “If TDP leaders have the courage, let them come – I will show them flood water. Only Amaravati’s vulnerability proves the drain of water,” he said.
He recalled that in 2024, all key infrastructure, such as the High Court Road, Access Access Access Road, iconic towers, colonies of officials and Tidco houses were immersed. “This year Amaravati is again underwater. Instead of solving failure, the government focuses on the media for reporting truth,” he said.
As for the problem of soil association, Mr. Rambaba accused Mr. Naid of the betrayal of farmers. “Farmers voluntarily gave 53,000 acres in the hope of development. This land still remains infertile. Why does the government demand another 43,000 acres? Is this justice?” he asked.
