A strong pro-LDF wave is sweeping across Kerala and the front’s victory this time will be even bigger than in 2020, CPI secretary Binoy Viswam said on Saturday. He was speaking at Vote Vibe 2025, an election program organized by Thrissur Press Club.
“The people of Kerala are with the LDF. The state is witnessing comprehensive development under this government,” Mr. Viswam said. “The eradication of extreme poverty has become a model for the whole world. Now our goal is to eradicate poverty itself.”
Mr. Viswam accused the Congress of abandoning its ideological heritage. “With blind animosity towards the Left, the Congress is trying to form an unholy alliance with the communal-fascist forces that Nehru and Gandhi opposed till their death,” he said. “The BJP and the UDF are united in their hostility to the LDF. Their policies and ideologies now look the same.”
To PM SHRI
At PM SHRI (Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising School), Mr Vishwam reiterated that the Left parties are united. “There is no difference between CPI and CPI(M) on PM SHRI. Kerala will not implement PM SHRI or national education policy. There is no MoU on this issue,” he said.
Expressing concern over the election process, he said, “The allegation of vote theft is real. Our EVMs are not reliable. We are really worried about the future of Indian democracy.”
