Kerala Congress (M) president Jose K. Mani on Sunday said that Kerala has been completely ignored in the Union Budget, reiterating that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) remains committed to raising the support price of natural rubber to ₹250.
“The government is facing severe financial constraints, yet the support price has been increased by up to ₹200. With additional support from the Centre, it could go up to ₹300,” he said. Mr. Mani was speaking to the media here in connection with the LDF rally in the central zone.
He pointed out that in the last ten years, the Center has not introduced a single scheme for which Kerala is eligible. Mr. Mani also accused the Union government of acting on the dictates of US President Donald Trump. “The Union government must give Kerala what it is rightfully entitled to. Only then can the state move forward,” he said.
