February 7, 2026

The Left Democratic Front (LDF) North Region Political Rally led by Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) State Secretary MV Govindana entered Kozhikode district on Friday (February 6). It was accepted in Adivaram. The rally then passed through Mukkom, Koduvally and Balussery.

Speaking at an event in Koduvally, Mr. Govindan said that through development initiatives implemented through the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB), the infrastructure base and overall profile of the state has changed. “The LDF rule has helped eradicate extreme poverty in the state and unemployment has been tackled by promoting entrepreneurship,” he said.

On Saturday (February 7) and Sunday (February 8), the rally will pass through Perambra, Nadapuram, Kuttiyadi, Vadakara, Koyilandy, Elathur and Kunnamangalam before entering Kozhikode city. The public event will be held at Muthalakkalam Ground on February 8.
