Unlike the MLA who poured their complaints about the style of the functioning of ministers in the government of Congress, Laxman Savadi, Congress MLA for Athani Election District in the Belagavi district, he said he had no complaints against ministers and all of them extended their support.
Mr. Savadi, who left the BJP and joined the congress on the eve of the 2023 Assembly survey, met with the General Secretary of AICC responsible for Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewal in the party’s office and submitted various proposals to strengthen the party organization in the Belagavi district.
The MLA spoke to reporters after the meeting that Mr. Surjewala is looking for opinions of legislators on development work in the election district, cooperation of ministers in the implementation of development work and the organization of the party in the district to prepare for surveys of assembly 2028.
Savadi said, “I have neither a cold war nor a hot war with ministers. All ministers cooperate with me and my relations with them are good.”
Mr. Savadi’s answer assumes importance as a result of many legislators publicly balanced accusations against ministers for not respecting them, and denies the funds for development work in their constituencies.
Meanwhile, Mr. Surjewala continued his meetings with the divisions of the MLA of Kalaburagag and Belagavi as part of the performance review. The next two days will continue to collect information from the lawmakers of the ruling party. Last week, he gathered opinions on state administration and implementation of guarantees from MLA divisions Bengaluru and Mysur.
Asked that Minister Siddaramaiah was a member of the City Advisory Panel, Mr. Savadi stated that the party had included its name to use its expertise on this topic because it belonged to the Civil Code. By simply inclusion of the name, it should not be concluded that the main minister moved to national policy, he said.
