The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that up to 21,799 cases of the state government awaited at the High Court and told the next general advocates (AAG) that any laxity would not be tolerated.
On Thursday, he chaired the AAGS meeting and stated that in 5,016 cases of the government no measures were initiated.
In many cases, the government has suffered failures due to the lack of preparation and inefficient arguments in cases. Why do the orders do not come in favor of the government or in cases that should win? he asked.
“You are all higher advocates. It is your responsibility to protect the government’s interest. Your laxity will be tolerated for any reason,” the main minister warned.
He noted that in many cases, the statements of stay were easily acquired against the government, he asked supporters: “Why are there growing cases of residential orders that have not been clarified for years?
The main minister said that in some minor cases the government faced an embarrassment. “That should be (government) embarrassed,” he told lawyers.
The Minister of Rights and Parliamentary Affairs HK Patil, the legal advisor of the main minister as a connhaw, the MLA and higher officials were present.
