Lawyers protest police harassment

Members of the Bezawad Bar Association (BBA) held a rally in Vijayawada on Tuesday condemning police cases involving lawyers. The BBA members alleged that the police filed cases against the lawyers without proper evidence and harassed them.

The lawyers said that the police had filed a charge sheet against advocate Gavaskar and demanded that the police withdraw it immediately.

Later they presented the representation of Dr. to BR Ambedkar at his statue as a form of symbolic protest.
