
Agilent Technologies and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) (TIFR) (TIFR) announced strategic cooperation at the start of Agilent-Tifr Center of Translational Research on Hyderabad on Friday.
The center will play a key role in supporting the Advanced Research Unit about metabolism, development and aging (ARUMDA)-one of the most ambitious Indian government initiatives in human health. ARUMDA focuses on bridging basic biology with clinical knowledge about the discovery based on data and informs public health strategies to strengthen the efforts for nutrition and research of metabolism.
This partnership combines the global expertise of Agilent in the field of analytical science with TIFR research to deal with the growing burden of non -transferable diseases (NCD) and malnutrition in the country. The role of agilent focuses on enabling this vision through high -performance analytical solutions that support impressive translational research.

Tifr-Hyderabad director M. Krishnamurty said that the center will strengthen our scientific abilities and contribute to the national efforts to solve the growing load of lifestyle-related diseases.
The cooperation also supports the development of a new analytical facility in Hyderabad, which was founded in cooperation with the National Analytical Facility for Research on Nutrition and Metabolism under the ARUMDA umbrella, the press release said.
