The campaign initiated by the hospital in cooperation with the Merck Special-Limited Limited with hashtag #Actagainstoralcancer encourages individuals to make a quick self-control using a mirror-device that is always within reach, ”he said on Wednesday.
“People are asked to look for warning signals such as white or red spots, untreated ulcers, persistent swelling, voice changes or inexplicable bleeding”.
“The main message is: feeling, appearance and act. Strategic mirrors in the waiting areas of the hospital further promote awareness and self -control between patients and visitors,” the statement said.
Dr. YS Madhavi, a consulting radiation oncologist and a medical superintendent, Bharath Hospital & Institute of Oncology, who was present on this occasion, said in cases of cancer an increase, especially oral cancer, due to late detection and poor lifestyle habits such as tobacco and alcohol use. “Simple, regular self -control can help in timely cooling of symptoms and improving the results,” she said.
“Oral cancer is one of the most common cancers among the Indians. People often ignore early grades such as untreated ulcers or voice changes. This initiative recalls that early detection through mirror control is fast and vital,” Dr. Srinivas kg, medical medical physician.
“Radiation therapy is highly effective when cancer is detected in time. This campaign strengthens the importance of acting at the right time,” Dr. Vinay Kumar Muttagi, oncologist for senior consultant.
“Oral cancer often starts with small, visible characters. The mirror is a powerful ally. Only two minutes each month can help identify these characters before it is too late,” Dr. Raxith Sringeri, surgical oncologist and robotic surgeon.
