Paradekkava Authorities have caused the claim that secret lobby can work behind the scenes to sabotage the Thrissur fabric festival by focusing on elephants using laser lights.
Paramekkavu Devaswom Secretary G. Rajesh, who was interacting with Mediaperons, said the laser lights were intentionally directed to the eyes of the elephants during events, including the night march and Kudamattom.
It suspected that such lights could lead to an accident just before the fireworks of the poramram in which the elephant ran amok and many of them caused injury.
He warned that such an incident occurred during Kudamattom that it could cause a massive disaster. Despite the strict orders of the district administration against the use of laser lights during the events of Popamram, people are during the night parades and even during Kudamattom continued to flash.
Mr. Rajesh called on the ban on the sale of laser lights at the festival sites and demanded a strict action against those who use them. He stressed that the ultimate goal of certain groups could be the end of elephant processions.
