
Arjun Erigaisi attacked the semifinal of Las Vegas Freestyle Chess by defeating Uzbekistan Norbek Abdusattorv, but R Pragggnanandhaa lent out of the title race after the US Fabiano Caruana lost. Erigaisi won over Abdusattorov 1.5-0.5, while Pragggnanananandhaa fought in the intense battle against Caraana.
Erigaisi looked class in both games against Uzbekistan’s ace and enjoyed the advantage of the word. The Indian, who played White in the second game, won the tower for the bishop soon and very soon simply overwhelmed Abdusattor’s other material, so it was not like a freestyle game.
Pragggnanandhaa and Caruana were involved in an intense battle that saw the two definitely play, and the Indian was in the lead three times. Pragggnanandhaa won the first one, lost the second, and this trend continued until the sixth, as long as Caruana pulled out before she won the seventh game.
The American duo Levon Aronian and Hans Moke Niemann got into the semifinals by defeating Hikaru Nakamura and Javokhira Sindarov of Uzbekistan. In the semifinals, Erigais will face Aronian while Caruana accepts Niemann.
In the lower console, Magnus Carlsen returned to the winning ways by defeating the Indian to see Gujrathi 2-0 and drove him out of the competition. Vincent Keymer, Wesley also found themselves in the winners column.
