Twenty Point Program Implementation Committee Chairman Lanka Dinakar said on Tuesday (March 17, 2026) that Annamayya should strive to become a leading area in achieving the goals of “Swarna Andhra and Viksit Bharat”, especially in agriculture, education and health.
Addressing the media after a review meeting at Madanapalle Collectorate on Tuesday, Mr. Dinakar urged all departments to work with determination and responsibility to achieve these goals.
In the education sector, Mr. Dinakar pointed out that the dropout rate has come down due to the ‘Thalliki Vandanam’ and ‘Dokka Seethamma Mid-Day Meal’ schemes. He said that parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) are being used effectively to improve the quality of education and school facilities. Around 1.17 lakh students in 2,129 schools are getting nutritious mid-day meals, he said, adding that education kits, uniforms and study materials are being distributed under ‘Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan’.
He said officials must understand the true spirit of the government’s plans and ensure their effective implementation. He emphasized that with coordinated efforts, Annamayya district can overcome backwardness and become a model district that will contribute significantly to the vision of ‘Swarna Andhra–Viksit Bharat’.
