Lokomotiva No. 37364 (WAP-7) Electric Loco Shed, LALLAGUDA, South Central Railway, won the first prize in the “cosmetic competition for electric locomys”, which took place last month at Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), Varanasi. It will share the highest prize with Royapuram Electric Loco Shed, Southern Railway, of 13 locomotives from various zonal railways that participated in the competition.

By providing acoustic insulation around the body of the cab and machine room, the noise level in the cabin was reduced by 2dB in the machine, 18 dB in the cab under top operating conditions.
The cabin was provided in the AI (DMS) control system to monitor the awareness of the crew in real time. The 360 ° locomotive system with 14 cameras on Loco facilitates the crew to monitor the state of pantography, the condition of the machine room, the cabin supervision and the view of the monitors available in the cabin, the official edition said
Meanwhile, the SCR recorded 12.832 million tonnes (MTS) in a freight load in May 2025, which is the highest in each year. The previous best was 12.418 MTS.
