The tribal women from the village of Lagacherl in the Codangal Election district tied Rakhis to BRS working President KT Rama Rao on Friday, on the eve of Raksha Bandhan, for being standing next to them as their brother when the government was forcibly acquired and sent to their wives.
On Friday, a group of tribal women came to Hyderabad and tied Rakhis to the leader of BRS. One of the women, Jyothi, who was pregnant at the time of their struggle against the “violent” land acquisition, said the leader BRS came to their rescue as a brother and named her son Bhoomi Nayak. KTR was a divine brother for them, even though they did not share blood, Mrs. Jyothi said.
Women from Rotiband Thand of Lagacherl Village went to Ktr’s residence here and stated that this was a stressful problem at national level, including a protest in Nový Delhi and a meeting with the National Human Rights Commission, that the government was forced to retreat in beneficial land.
