
L2 EMPUran Row: In the middle of the Malayalam “L2 Empuraan”, Chief Minister Keral Pinarayi Vijayan strongly condemned Sangh Parivar for relaxing the “municipal hate campaign” against Mohanlal-Starrer. Kerala CM called it “deeply worrying”.
Sangh Parivar’s leaders are angry about the film because he referred to “one of the most brutal genocide ever seen,” Kerala said.
The L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal, was involved in controversy due to the depiction of sensitive political questions, including references to the 2002 Gujarat Gujarat, which were criticized by Hindutva groups.

In a post on the Social Media Platform X Pinaayi Vijayan, he said, “The campaign of the municipal hatred against #empuraan and its creators is deeply disturbing.
“It undermines creative freedom with fear and threats at the very core of democracy. Freedom of expression is a fundamental right; we must become united to prevent it,” he added.

On Facebook, Vijayan wrote in Malayalam: “I saw the Empuran film, led by the Malaysian film industry to the new heights. I saw the film at a time when Sangh Parivar releases communication through extensive hate campaigns against the film, let’s and crew.”
“The fact that the film refers to one of the most brutal genocide that the country has ever seen was angry with Sangh Parivar, its planners. Not only followers, but also BJP and RSS leaders increase public threats.”
The Chief Minister Kerala also said that the violent call for the destruction and forbidding of works of art and artists is the latest manifestations of fascist attitudes.
“There were even reports that manufacturers are forced to re -modify and edit the film under this pressure. This atmosphere of fear created by Sangh Parivar is worrying. It is not good for democracy to destroy artists and attack just because it opposed communication and showed its horror.

What is the controversy around L2: Empuran?
“Empuraan” was released at theaters 27 March. The film directed by Prithviuran Sukumaran and starring Mohanlal has triggered controversy due to the depiction of sensitive political issues, in particular references to references to 2002 gujarats, which Hindutva groups claim that the malignant and agency “anti -essential” agenda.

“And the EMPUran team expresses our sincere regret for anxiety caused by my dear and we all take responsibility for it, knowing that such problems must be removed from the film,” he wrote in Malayalam.
