On the day of the opening of Sangh Parivar, the film strongly criticized the film on the social media and condemned its political undertones. Meanwhile, congress and some groups of the left -wing groups praised the film for portraying right -wing policy in the negative light and celebrating it as a bold film statement.
However, the screenplay of Murali Gopy, which Sukumaran supports as his “co -creator”, refuses controversy and says that everyone has the right to interpret the film in the way.
“I will have a complete silence on the controversy. Let them fight. Everyone has the right to interpret the film in the way,” Gopy PTI said.

Gopy said that the film was mentioned in the social and political atmosphere in the country, and some people expressed their views against him and others accepted it. “Let them interpret them. I’ll leave my mom,” he said.
Social media users say “Anti-Hind”
Some right-wing media handles, including Sanatan Dharma, dubbed a film as an “anti-hinduid” and claimed that Prithvi had deceived Mohanla and his fans by making such a film.
Another right -wing platform, Hindu mail, claimed, “Empuraan revealed himself as an apparent Hindu propaganda film that depicts Hindy as villains in the middle of the ongoing Hindu genocide across the subcontinent, including India.”
BJP keeps the “distance”
However, the BJP state unit decided to remain controversy and stated that the audience should create its own views after watching the film. The General Secretary of the State of BJP P. Sudheer explained that the party did not prevent any campaign against the film.

“The film will go on its way and the party will do its job. The party will not be influenced by any film. Sangh Parivar activists have the right to express their views and let the audience decide whether it is good or bad,” he told reporters.
Here’s what congress thinks
The Vice President of the Congress and the former MLA VT Balram said he was entertained by a reception that the Malaysian film had with strong political content in theaters.
Bineesh Kodiyeri, actor and son of the late state secretary CPI (m) Kodiyeri Balakrishnana, in post, appreciated the creator “L2: Empuraan”, that “they deserved the brave prize for attempting to reveal current reality.”
The President of the Youth Congress in Keral and Palakkad Mil Rahul Mamkotathhathil, who appreciated the “Empuraan” as the Pan-Indian film that Malayalam, said that the hateful campaign against Mohanlal, Prithviuranu, and Murali GoPa cannot be accepted by no means.

‘L2: Empuraan’, which had a worldwide edition on Thursday, had 4,500 performances on 746 screens in Kerala, PTI said.
