Even as several parts of Kochi are reeling under water crisis, Kerala Water Authority’s (KWA) 190 million liters per day (MLD) water treatment plant, which is expected to solve drinking water shortage, is still awaiting government approval. The proposed power plant, along with a comprehensive ₹2,000-crore sewage treatment system, has been awaiting government approval for several months.
