Describing Kuppam as “not just a constituency but also an emotion”, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday (July 3, 2026) announced an ambitious industrial and development agenda, reiterating his commitment to transform his home constituency into a national model under the ‘Vision of Swarna Kuppam-2029’.

As part of his three-day visit to Kuppam, the Chief Minister attended the inauguration of several industrial projects at Pogurupalle in Gudupalle mandal.

Addressing a public meeting, Mr. Naidu said the coalition government will simultaneously pursue prosperity, development and good governance while ensuring employment for every youth, higher incomes for farmers and business opportunities for every family. He said that the open initiative ‘One Family – One Entrepreneur’ from Kuppam has started yielding stunning results across the state.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the investment worth ₹9,322 crore in 27 industries will create nearly 39,000 direct jobs in the Kuppam constituency. He said the ₹ 200 crore chicken processing unit of ABIS Proteins will boost allied industries and generate massive employment. Developed over 44 acres, the MSME Park at Pogurupalla would encourage small scale industries and start-ups.

Mr. Naidu stated, “Andhra Pradesh will now be known not only for ease of doing business but also for speed of doing business.” He further outlined plans for roads, rail connectivity, aviation infrastructure, industrial estates, renewable energy, waste management, rooftop solar installations, expansion of green cover and zero pollution under the ‘Vision of Swarna Kuppam-2029’.

He also suggested linking industries with higher education institutions, allowing employees to study at university while working.

Chittoor Collector Sumit Kumar said 20 industries have reached the implementation stage during the last two years. “The investment of around ₹ 3,872 crore is expected to create employment for 23,169 people directly and indirectly in the region. The industrial thrust would create large-scale local employment and reduce migration while accelerating the emergence of Kuppam as a major industrial hub,” he said.
