
Kundara Taluk Hospital introduces advanced medical services because the construction of a new building is in its last stages and also establishes dialysis with the support of the local body
Since its modest beginnings in the tiled building decades ago, the Kundar Taluk Hospital has now been at the peak of a significant transformation. The construction of a modern, multi -storey building, which is built at the price of 76.13 GBP Crore from the Kerala Investment Fund (KIIFB) Council, is approaching completion. This development began in 2020 as part of the Aardram project, a nationwide initiative to strengthen facilities in all government hospitals throughout the Kerala. The hospital serves as a key rescue rope for the local community, especially the sector staff in the region. With the new building, hospitals will offer 150 beds for patients, along with services, including the latest reward and improved OP devices. It currently has a Department for Gynecology, Dental, Pediatrics and General Medicine. The new seven -storey building will also introduce services for Orthodontics, Surgery, Ent and Ophthalmology. In addition, it will include two operating theaters, four ICU, general payment department, scanning laboratory, X -ray, post mortem and morgue. Chittumala Block Panchayat founded a dialysis unit in the hospital and will soon be inaugurated. The unit is located on the second floor of the old building. The 65 lakh device was purchased using the financial year of the 2022-23 Block Panchayat and another arrangement with 28 ₹ Lakh assigned from the 2024-25 plan. There will be seven dialysis units that can benefit for six patients simultaneously. The dialysis unit will also be a relief for patients from block limits Kottarakkara, including Elampalloor, Kareepr and Ezhuk. Two dialysis techniques and cleaning staff were named. This new service will be useful for ordinary patients who currently have to travel to Medical College, Kollam or District Hospital for Dialysis.
