Despite returning to cricket testing in two years, Sunil Gavascar, a former Indian captain, demanded that SHARDUL Thakur be abandoned from the side for the second test against England in Edgbaston in Birmingham.
Thakur, who came after a brilliant home campaign and a decent performance for Super Giants Lucknow, seemed to be set for a second in the longest format. His return, however, proved to be a disappointed trip for the versatile with Bat and Ball.
In the first shifts he went without a goal and admitted 38 runs in his six breaks. This was followed by two goals in the second shifts, which were given Ben Duckett and Harry Brook at the decisive intersection, but could not watch them.
During the bats, he did not contribute to the only valuable post and asked whether his place on the side was guaranteed or whether they could consider specialized pitchors to improve their bowling attack.
Gavascar continued to design that the Birmingham playground could provide some left shoulder wrist, Kuldeep Yadav and supported its selection for the next test.
“Whether Jasprit Bumrah is fit or not, I think Kuldeep Yadav has to come to the team. I believe he should come to the Shardul Thakur team, because Birmingham Pitch will be one where he will be a little help for his wrist, ”commented Gavascar in the show after the match.
He also mentioned that Sai Sudharsan and Karun Nair need to be carefully monitored, but he does not want a duo for the upcoming accessories. He stressed, however A bowling attack that looked common yet.
“If things don’t go well in the second test, maybe Sai (Sudharsan) and Karun (Nair). I don’t want to drop them at the moment. Then I would also look at Washington (Sundar), so it really gives you stronger launching, and gets a little more diverse as far as Bowling,” he said.
Kuldeep’s record in England
While Kuldeep can be considered the possibility of a goal for an Indian team that was strongly dependent on Jasprit Bumrah, it should also be noted how his performance in England was quite disappointing.
In the only test he played on English soil, the 2018 test in Lord’s, went without a goal. In addition, the Kuldeep has only been deployed if the conditions are expected to be suitable for slower pitchers. It remains to be found whether this call will accept or whether they are going to take responsibility for the duties of the goal.
