
The wedding celebrations of Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav and his fiancee Vanshika are going on in Mussoorie with great enthusiasm. The celebrations will come soon after India’s commanding performance in the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup T20 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
On Friday evening, co-star Yuzvendra Chahal shared a heartwarming video of the couple’s haldi ceremony, in which he was seen applying turmeric to the bride-to-be and groom and posing with them for photographs.
He took to Instagram and said, “Jen Yaar Ki Shaadi haiiiiii”
Chahal also expressed his excitement about the celebrations and spoke about his close friendship with Kuldeep during an interview with ANI. “I’m very excited about my brother’s wedding. I’m going to dance a lot and enjoy it,” he said, smiling.
Who is Vanshika Chadha?
Vanshika Chadha and Kuldeep Yadav shared a close bond since childhood. Both hail from Kanpur, according to reports Vanshika from Shyam Nagar area and Kuldeep from Lal Bungalow. Over the years, their friendship developed into a committed romantic relationship.
Despite Kuldeep’s fame on the international cricket scene, Vanshika has largely kept a low profile and led a simple life. He works with one of India’s most respected financial institutions, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), reportedly in a managerial or administrative role.
Kuldeep Yadav’s wedding
As part of the celebrations, a special Sufi music evening is also planned for the guests on Friday evening at Welcomhotel The Savoy in Mussoorie.
Sufi singer Bismil arrived at Jolly Grant airport ahead of Kuldeep Yadav’s wedding. The singer shared his excitement about performing at Kuldeep Yadav and Vanshika’s upcoming wedding celebrations in the hill town.
“I will be performing today. It will be fun. I have prepared some shayaris for Kuldeep Yadav which I will present at the function today. I am very excited about my friend Kuldeep’s wedding. Uttarakhand is dear to my heart and I am very happy to come here,” Bismil said.
Earlier in the day, Indian fielding coach T. Dilip arrived in Dehradun to attend the wedding functions and expressed his delight at being a part of the occasion celebrating the veteran’s big day.
Reflecting on his close association with Kuldeep, Indian fielding coach Dilip said he was looking forward to the celebrations saying, “We play together; he is a friend. So it feels good,” he said.
The wedding is to take place on March 14 at Welcomhotel The Savoy. Reports suggest that the couple had earlier got engaged in a private ceremony in Lucknow in June last year, attended only by close family members. The upcoming wedding is expected to remain a low-key and strictly private event.
