The Kudumbashree District Mission will organize two onam markets in each of the 83 social development companies (CD) in Thiruvananthapuram.
The Onam markets will take place for three to five days at the end of August or early September. The markets that take place annually are a platform for Kudumbashree entrepreneurs who show off their products, including Agri and Lovestock products, and cucumbers, pappadoms and other value products, while consumers are able to get their onam needs at fair prices.
There are also plans to organize a centralized food festival in convergence mode.
In order to promote the PocketMart Shopping App, which will soon be listed, Kudumbashree will be available online 5,000 Onam Hers across the country. There are 799 GBP plus delivery fees, include nine products – chips, sarcaravaratti, Payasam Mix, Sambar Masala, Chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric and veg masala. It is expected to bring a total of 40 £ lakh.
In addition to online obstacles, Onam sets will be delivered to each CDS offline. The set will cost £ 750 and will include 11 products, including chips, sarcaravaratti, chili powder, coriander, turmeric, mix Payasam, Sambar Masala, Cucumber, PapPadom and Coconut oil, all contained in a single design and zipper bag. With the expected at least 100 sets in each CDS, a turnover of at least 1 lakh is expected from the sale of the sets.
District missions are also planning to receive orders from government and private institutions for O Onasadya within the limits of urban society. Eight units will be delivered by sets that will have a common menu. The minimum number of orders is likely to be determined by the Mission for Onasadya.
