BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan condemned what he termed false propaganda by the Congress government against BRS working president KT Rama Rao in the Rohith Reddy drug case.
He demanded a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the alleged drug incident at former MLA Rohith Reddy’s farm and said that anyone found involved in the incident must face strict action under the law.
Mr. Sravan said reports indicated that several persons from various political parties, including TDP MP Mahesh Yadav, were present at the rally held at the farmhouse. He noted that linking Mr. Rama Rao with the farm incident was as illogical as linking unrelated issues.
He slammed the Congress social media platforms for deliberately trying to defame Mr. Ram Rao by linking him to the incident without any evidence. He alleged that the Congress leaders were targeting Mr. Ram Rao because he kept exposing the failures of the state government.
He said that during the tenure of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, the government had taken vigorous steps against the drug menace. He added that the BRS is ready to support the current government if it works sincerely to curb drugs.
