KTR using film language as he got used to the film industry in 10 years of BRS rule: Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy

Bhuvanagiri Chamala MP Kiran Kumar Reddy claimed that BRS working president KT Rama Rao had become accustomed to the film industry in ten years in power and continued to speak the language of cinema even in politics, adding that the former minister seemed to see the lives of common people “like a film”.

Reacting to KTR’s comments calling the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s government a complete failure, Mr. Kian Kumar Reddy said the decade-long BRS government was not a “super hit”. Telangana, which started as a surplus state, turned into a debt-ridden state during the BRS regime. “Their 10-year rule was not a blockbuster, but a flop,” he said.

Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy told the BRS leader, Mr. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao made irresponsible remarks against the Chief Minister and tried to undermine the development agenda of the State Government who were unable to embrace the vision and initiatives sought by Mr. Revanth Reddy.

The Congress MP alleged that Mr. Rama Rao and Mr. Harish Rao were making personal attacks on the Chief Minister instead of engaging in constructive political debate.

Defending the performance of the Congress government, the MP accused the previous BRS administration of weakening government schools and said the current government was taking steps to strengthen the education system.

Regarding agriculture, he said the state government was creating awareness among farmers to diversify crops based on prevailing market conditions.

He also questioned Union Minister G Kishan Reddy about the Centre’s procurement policy and asked why Telangana paddy fields were not fully procured despite record production levels.

The MP also defended the state government’s efforts to go ahead with the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II project and asked the BRS to question the BJP for not cooperating with the metro expansion project.

About Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA), he alleged that BRS was trying to provoke people against the agency. He argued that HYDRAA has emerged as a key institution in Hyderabad’s urban development and plays an important role in preventing encroachment on drains and water bodies, thereby reducing the risk of urban flooding.

Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy also asked why KTR remained silent on the allegations of “vote-stealing” and “seat-stealing” leveled against the BJP by Congress leaders at the national level.
