BRS working president KT Rama Rao accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of defeating AICC in-charge of Telangana Meenakshi Natarajan, leading to rejection of her nomination papers for Rajya Sabha elections from Madhya Pradesh.
Mr. Rama Rao alleged that Mr. Revanth Reddy registered a false case against Ms. Natarajan because “she brought his irregularities and fraud to the notice of the party high command”. KTR alleged that the CM had passed on details of the fake case to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in the state.
Addressing the party’s (BRS) Khairatabad constituency general meeting here on Sunday, he said the CM was practicing heinous politics and had also prevented Ms Natarajan from getting the party ticket for the Rajya Sabha elections in the past.
On the chief minister’s remarks that he took Hitler as inspiration, the BRS leader said it was unfortunate that the chief minister had made the announcement personally. He described the Congress administration as a “complete failure” and said the government had failed to fulfill its promises despite completing half of its tenure.
KTR claimed that not even 4,000 jobs out of the promised 2,000 jobs were filled and the government also failed to provide unemployment allowance of ₹4,000 per month as promised.
The BRS leader said the Khairatabad by-election was inevitable as sitting MLA Danam Nagender betrayed the people’s mandate by defecting from BRS to Congress. He urged party workers to remain vigilant against attempts by the Congress to manipulate voter rolls during the special intensive revision.
He asked the booth level agents of the party to actively participate in SIR from June 25 to July 31 and conduct the party membership drive digitally. He condemned HYDRAU for demolishing the homes of the poor.
