Working President Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) KT Rama Rao thanked the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) for his report that emphasized the gross violation of human rights in the village of Lagcherl in the main Minister A. Revant Reddy’s Kodangal Consituenvenance.
In his statement, Mr. Rama Rao said on Monday that the NHRC report revealed or rather repeated what BRS had said about the incidents of Lagcherl all the time – that the government of Congress and the police had negotiated with tribal farmers and women from Lagcherly. He hoped that the NHRC report would act as a warning for anyone who thinks those who are in power are absolutely above the law. “Governments are coming and leaving, but abuse of power will not be tolerated. It’s a great first step for all those tribal brothers and sisters who bravely fought against the government of Revant Reddy”.
He congratulated them all and repeated the determination of BRS for the cause of Telangana. It requires an unconditional apology to farmers Lagcherly by Mr. Revant Reddy, who was not only the main minister, but also the Minister Telangana.
