The front of the united democratic students (UDSF), the Ceral Student’s Coalition (KSU) and the Federation of Muslim students (MSF), maintained control of the University of the University of Calict when the elections took place on Saturday. Out of a total of 539 votes, 518 were asked.
PK Shifana of UDSF was elected chairman when she won 299 votes against her opponents Federation students in India (SFI) vs Anuja, who won 206 votes. AC Muhammed Irfan of UDSF was elected as a vice -chairman when he packed 294 votes against his opponent SFI K. Abu Fazil, who won 210 votes. Nafiya Birra from UDSF was chosen as the deputy chairwoman of the lady. She got 299 votes and the opponent SFI candidate MM Siyana won 207 votes. V. Sufiyan of UDSF won the Secretary post by placing 295 votes against the candidate SFI K. Mohammed Sanad, who won 209 votes. Anusha Roby of UDSF was elected a joint secretary when she won 300 votes against the candidate SFI TG Saranya, who won 203 votes. Four of these five candidates for general chairs belonged to MSF.
UDSF also packed the chairs of members of the Executive Committee for the Malappuram and Kozhikode districts and SFI candidates got those for Thrissur, Wayanad and Palakkad. Salmanul Phariz Bin Abdulla (Malappuram) won 141 votes against his rival SFI Km Shafeeque Rahman, who won 22 votes. Safwan Shameem (Kozhikode) addressed 81 votes against his opponent SFI Mt Aswani, who won 51 votes.
Meanwhile, SFI Salahudheen Rusheid (Palakkad) liberated 50 votes to defeat M. Dharsan of UDSF, who won 36 votes. PS Chandana (Wayanad) from SFI won 12 votes and her rival Kv Muhammed Sinan got 11 votes. Farhan Abdul Muthalif (Thrissur) SFI wrapped 62 votes against Abin Augustine of UDSF, which won 32 votes.
The elections were held under the close police security after the High Court order. There was a tension on the campus for a while, because SFI activists claimed that MSF activists were controlled.
