In an effort to enhance passenger convenience, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will start offering free snack kits with Nandini products to all passengers traveling on its airport Flybus services from Wednesday, November 12.
Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy will launch the new service at Kempegowda International Airport Terminal 2.
KSRTC officials said the initiative is designed to provide passengers with a flight-like experience while promoting Karnataka Milk Federation’s popular Nandini brand.
Flybus, which operates luxury airport buses, connects Bengaluru Airport with major cities including Mysuru, Mangaluru, Madikeri, Manipal, Udupi and Kundapur.
Earlier, KSRTC used to provide drinking water bottles to passengers in its premium buses. However, in October 2019, the company stopped using single-use plastic bottles, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth, to promote environmental responsibility.
Apart from the refreshment initiative, Mr. Reddy will also flag off the new Flybus service connecting Davangere to Kempegowda International Airport on the same day.
