On Monday, she replied to complaints commuting to elevated tariffs on the Bengalur – Massur route, and on Monday it was explained on Monday that the practice of collecting special rides during the Dasar season has been for almost two decades.
Officials explained that the hike applies only to specific days, as permitted under the government announcement of Karnataka, which allows the fare to revise during special events, trade fairs and holidays. “During the Dasara festival we run other one -way services towards Mysuru. These buses often return with less passengers, leading to higher operating costs. Since special vehicles are also drawn from other divisions, the fares are increased to cover the expenses,” KSRTC said.
In accordance with this passenger passengers between Bengaluru and Mysur will have to pay another 20 ₹ for express services and 30 GBP for continuous and premium services. Revised tariffs are applicable this year from September 26 to October 8.
Officials stated that the increase in the fare is temporary and focuses on ensuring adequate services for a heavy rush of festival passengers. “These are long -term experiences during Dasar and we provide passengers to get enough buses despite special demand,” added KSRTC official.
