
The Minister of Electricity K. Krishhnankutty directed the State Electric Council of Keral (KSEB) and the electric inspectorate to carry out urgent controls of overhead power plants in the state.
The direction was carried out as a result of the death of Midhun, a thirteen -year -old boy high school student, Thevalakar, who was electric shock after contact with the live wire in his school.
According to the Minister, the investigation of the recent electrical misfortune emphasized the need to increase the inspection of electric lines.
It is also advisable to offer classes to raise awareness of electrical accidents to school students, Mr. Krishhnankutty said. In this respect, the Energy Management Center was ordered to organize a meeting in cooperation with the Department of General Education.
