KPCC issues notice to SUDA Chairman HS Sundaresh

The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has issued a notice to Urban Development Authority Chairman Shivamogga-Bhadravathi and former District Congress Committee President HS Sundaresh over his remarks against party leaders and the campaign to strengthen the party organisation.

Former MLC and KPCC vice-president M Narayanaswamy on Thursday issued a notice to Mr. Sundaresh and asked him to respond within seven days. In the notice, Mr. Narayanaswamy sought to respond to Mr. Sundaresh’s comments on the All India Congress Committee’s Sangathana Srujan Abhiyan campaign, as well as remarks that had caused embarrassment among party leaders. A copy of the notice was also sent to District Congress Committee President HC Yogesh.

At a press conference in Shivamogga on Wednesday, Mr. Sundaresh alleged corruption by people close to School Education Minister and Shivamogga district chief Madhu Bangarappa and questioned the manner in which Mr. Yogesh was selected as the president of the party’s district unit, besides making derogatory remarks about several party leaders.
