The Kozhikode district, which has been experiencing a downpour in the last week, had a brief rest on Friday (May 30) as the rain retreated, even though the sky remained overcast. The district was a warning on Friday, while a yellow warning was issued on Saturday (May 31). Longer dry charm helped reduce the waterlogging on most roads and alleviated the resulting traffic jams.
However, several low -laid areas remain flooded. With the growing water level in the main rivers of the district, the inhabitants living along the banks were for a high warning and recommended to move if the authorities were directed.
The water level in Poonoor Puzha, the tributary of the Kapuzha, exceeded the brand “above the level of warning”. In his monitoring stations Kunnamangalam and Kollikkal, a yellow warning of the flood risk was issued.

Water levels also grow in other rivers in the district, including Kuttiada and Chaliyar, even if they remain below the leveling level.
Meanwhile, the water level in the kakkayam tank on the Kuttiad River is constantly growing and orange alerts were. The shutters can be increased if the situation persists.
The coastal areas were alerted due to harsh seabed conditions and fishermen were warned against wandering into the sea. The ships remain anchored in the ports and hiking on the beach intervened, and tourists were forbidden to enter the beach areas.
The operation on the Motorway Motorway, which was suspended due to a landslide near Thalayad, was partially restored.
Meanwhile, the rain also retreated considerably in the Wayanad district. For the Kabani River, however, a yellow warning of its Kakkavayal station was issued, where the water level is currently above the warning level.
