Kozhikode will host this year’s Transgender Arts festival in Varnapakitt from 21 to 23 August.
Minister of Social Justice R. Bindu in Kozhikode said on Tuesday that the National Conference would be one of the main events of Fete, which will take place on August 21. Representatives of states that have carried out Transgender policy to attend the conference at the conference.
On the same day there would be panel discussions on Transgender/Queer and Film Festival on Transgender Questions. Panel discussion would concern the health of Transgender, Social Care, Education, Development of Skills, Social Justice and Human Rights. Plastic and cosmetic surgeon Narendra Kaushik; Director of the Center for Health Systems Jithesh V.; Among those participating will be a government medical college, Kottayam, head of the Lakshmi Plastic Surgery Department.
The next two days of the festival will see a performance of various art forms.
The Ministry of Social Justice will be held a short film festival within Varnapakitt.
The awards will be awarded to Transgender’s persons; community organizations and non -governmental organizations; and local authorities that effectively conducted activities related to transgender in art, sports, education, literature and business.
This year the contestants would receive stamps according to the Marks score. The festival manual was corresponded appropriately.
The contestants earned the most points on stage events would be selected as Kalarathnam and in notes events like Sargapratibha.
In addition, groups/individuals would provide a class in team/solo events that would be awarded with a cash price of 7,500 GBP and 3,000 GBP.
Before the festival would be held a meeting of the announcement of festival 21. August.
