Kollam district records 78.79% pass percentage in plus two

Kollam district recorded a pass rate of 78.79% in the second year results of the higher secondary (plus two) examination. Out of 25,137 students who appeared for the exams from 133 schools across the district, 19,805 students qualified for higher education. This year, a total of 2,506 students received an “A Plus” grade in all subjects.
In the Open School category, the district recorded a success rate of 47%. Out of 683 students who passed the exam under this program, 321 candidates qualified for higher studies. Additionally, 11 students from the Open School category managed to get ‘A Plus’ in all subjects.
Meanwhile, the Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) section recorded a pass rate of 77.76%. Of the 3,454 students who appeared for the VHSE examinations, 2,686 students qualified for higher education. JF Kennedy Memorial VHSS, Karunagappally achieved stellar success in this category, securing 100% pass rate with all its students clearing the exam.
