The mother of Sunilkumar alias Kodi Suni, who is serving a life sentence for the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) leader TP Chandrasekharan in 2012, approached the Kerala High Court, requesting the authorities to shift him from Malappuram jail to Kannur main jail. She made the demand citing her deteriorating health, which makes it difficult for her to travel from Kannur to Malappuram to see her imprisoned son. She said she had not met him in 13 years. The matter was posted for hearing on November 18.
