Lord Kodandarama’s procedural idol was eliminated in the morning to “Hanumantha Vahanam” and “Gaja Vahanam” in the evening around the Temple of the sixth day of the nine -day annual Brahmotsavams in Tirupati.
The huge gathering of the devotees appeared for the procession to watch Lord Rama walk in the procession mounted on top of his favorite pupil Hanuman. “Snasana Tiranjanjanam” (Heavenly Spa) was given in the afternoon the idols of SITA, frames and lakhmans with milk, cottage cheese, turmeric, sandal and tender coconut water.
“Gaja Vahanam” was done in the evening when the idol was mounted on top of a huge carrier representing an elephant. Pedda Jeeyangar and Chinna Jeeyangar, Senior and Junior Pope of Tirumala-Tirupati temples, were attended by the Deputy Director of Nag Ratna.
