Lord Sri Ramachandra blessed the devotees on Kalpavriksha Vahanam on Friday, the fourth day of the annual nine-day Brahmotsavam at the Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple in Tirupati.
A Vahana Seva procession was taken out through the four mada streets of the temple, with devotees offering kafr harati and having darshan of the Lord.
In Hindu belief, the Kalpavriksha is a wish-fulfilling tree, and the glimpse of the Lord beneath it is believed to cleanse sins and grant wishes.
In the afternoon Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to the processional deities of Lord Ramachandra, Sita and Lakshmana with milk, curd, honey, coconut water, turmeric and sandalwood paste.
Tirumala Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, Deputy Managing Director of the temple K. Nagaratna and a large number of devotees participated in the Vahana Seva.
