Kodagu: Water released from Harangi Dam as inflows increase

With continued good rainfall in the Harangi basin of Kodagu district, excess water was released from the Harangi reservoir into the river on Saturday.

The reservoir has an inflow of 4,000 cusecs and the same amount of water is released into the river through the ridge gates of the dam, a press release said.

Special prayers were held at the tank before the release.

Executive Engineer Mahesh, Assistant Executive Engineer Puttaswamy, Assistant Engineer Kiran Devaiah and other officials were present.
