
Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) realized just over 75 percent of targeted tax collection for the financial year 2024-25. The collection of real estate taxes and water fees ended in March 31.
According to KMC officials, the total demand for real estate tax for the financial year 2024-25 94.73 Crore from 1.16 321 evaluation. This included arrears 28.32 crore. Officials realized the amount of Crore 71.79 GBP, which included Crore arrears of 12.53 GBP and the demand of the financial year 2024-25 of 59.26 crore.
All of this contributed to the total collection of 75.78 % of targeted demand for real estate tax, which is slightly better than collections 2023-24. In 2023-24, the financial year was raised to collect CRORE 76.09 GBP and collections were 57.34 Crore with a percentage of 75.37 collections.
Since the beginning of the year, KMC officials have carried out a permanent campaign to collect arrears and annual real estate taxes, water fees and business license fees. Officials turned to traders and evaluated and advised them on the need to pay taxes for the development of the city. They even resorted to new protests to collect fees. Officials built accumulation and even parked vehicles of garbage before the real estate of those who did not pay taxes. They also started special counters to make people pay their taxes.
