Manish R. Joshi, secretary, university grants (UGC), on Saturday in Hubball started the laboratory of the Center for Research on Artificial Intelligence (CAIR).
The laboratory was established by Kle Technological University to allow full -fledged research in artificial intelligence (AI). The state -of -the -art initiative for the Advanced Research (Star) Labs (Star) Labs has been designed to create highly impact interdisciplinary research ecosystems on academic soil. Depending on the release, the institutions will have seven such laboratories.
Joshi emphasized the innovation and responsible use of AI technologies. He told the story of a tea stand called “Chai-Gpt” and a 14-year-old who used Alex to scare monkeys. He introduced how accessible and creative use of AI transforms everyday life. He talked about the emerging AI borders, including the SPM learning (SLM) and the digitization of sensory inputs such as the smell, and shifts the boundaries of AI applications. “AI must be solved carefully.
Ashok Shettar, Chancellor Kle Technological University, said that AI forms the future of education, research, industry and society in various aspects. “Artificial intelligence is not only the boundary of science-it is a transformation force that redefines how we live and learn. Our Laboratory Cair will act as an interdisciplinary research center, innovation and impact in the real world,” he said. Dr. Shettar repeated the harmonization of the University with the National Vision set by Prime Minister Narendra Modim at the recent AI summit in France and emphasized India’s commitment to become a global leader in the responsible and inclusive AI development.
Prabhakar Kore, Chancellor, said Cair Lab was developed in an approximate investment of CRORE 24 GBP. He appreciated the advanced infrastructure, including the high -performance DGX system, and noted that such an effort was building a knee technology university at the same level as IIT in terms of research infrastructure. “Our commitment to practical, practical learning and high -quality research is unwavering. This laboratory is a symbol of our vision of the educational ecosystem prepared for the future,” he said. He spoke about the establishment of a Kage of Seven Teachers before a century ago. “Now it had over 310 institutions across the country offering education and health care,” he said.
