
The founder of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab “will start the process” as chairman of the board, told Reuters on Thursday Reuters.
Schwab said that a forum convened by an annual assembly in a Swiss resort of Davos must renew their “sense of mission” after a period of unrest.
He did not give a time plan for his departure from the organization, but in his statement FT said that the process should be completed by January 2027.

Schwab will remain in this role until he is appointed successor, the World Economic Forum spokesman told Reuters without providing the timeline.
Why Klaus Schwab will withdraw
Last year, Klaus Schwab said he would give up the executive duties of the Borge Brende team next year after 55 years on the forum. Brende was a former Norwegian Foreign Minister and has been President of WeF since 2017.
“It is also financially well equipped with successful financial management from its start,” Schwab said about the FT forum.
“What is now necessary after the unrest for recent months is to restore our sense of mission,” he said without saying whether the shock he spoke of was Donald Trump’s second presidential period.
A probe into the WeF culture in the workplace
Last year, the Wall Street Journal reported that the WEF Council was working with a law firm to investigate its culture in the workplace after the newspaper reported the accusation of the culture of harassment and discrimination in the organization.

Last month, WEF said that external lawyers had hired to carry out the investigation of claims, did not find out that they would commit any legal violation and did not justify the accusation of misconduct against Schwab, FT reported.
According to a summary of the investigation sent to one of the largest WEF sponsors, the accusations of incorrect action against the founder Klaus Schwab hired hired by the hired world economic forum “did not detect the forum”.
However, the e -mail message sent by the successor to Schwab as the CEO of WEF Borge Brende said that the Board of Directors overseeing the investigation identified “leadership and management problems… that do not meet our established standards” and promised to strengthen “our obligation to workplaces where all employees feel and respect”.

Last year, Schwab stood up as a executive chairman for more than half a century with the Organization of the Organization, changing his annual meeting in Davos to a prevailing conference for the global business leader and politician. He is now chairman of the WEF Board.
