KERALA infrastructure and technology started online training for artificial intelligence (AI) for teachers on the nine islands of the Lakshadweep archipelago.
The training module is an updated version of the AI program, which was previously carried out by a kite for 80,000 teachers in Kerala. It uses the same platform for online training, which was provided to the public under the name “AI Essentials”.
The first phase of this training includes all 110 postgraduate teachers on the Lakshadweep islands. They are divided into five batches. The program will be completed in one month, with one mentor assigned to approximately 20 teachers. There will be one class of contacts each week.
The course content is structured into five different sections. The first part of the “AI at your fingertips” represents practical AI applications and covers its history, development and future possibilities. The second part “AI art gallery” focuses on the use of AI to create and improve images, design logs and posters, and even 3D models.
“Mastering AI” offers practical training in fast engineering and using AI to read and analyze data. The fourth part of the “AI in everyday life” provides practical training on how to use AI in areas such as music, coding, video production and learning. The final part concludes training by understanding how to use AI responsibly and to acquaint participants with the technical terms used in the field.
Kite CEO K. Anvar Samath said that the organization would provide training, including robotics, all teachers.
Robotics have been incorporated into the revised ICT Class 10 textbooks that have been used on the islands since they are watching Keral’s curriculum. To make it easier, Kite will provide robotic sets to schools. Robotics training will be held later.
Lakshadweep Director for Education Padmar RAM Tripathi, head of administrative official E. Ravendranathan and KK Shanawas from the academic section spoke on Saturday at the start of training.
The remaining teachers on the islands will have training in the second phase of the program.
Trainings were also held for Lakshadweep teachers in Ernakulam Regional Resource Center.
