The security forces on Monday (July 21, 2025) continued their search operation, which traced a group of terrorists hiding in a dense forest in the Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir, the officials said.
“Common police and army operations started on Sunday (July 20, 2025) in the Khankoo Forest in the Cherji area between Dachhan and Nagseni,” they said.
“This has launched a short encounter with terrorists, which is assumed that they are associated with Hizbul Mujahideen clothing and included the two highest evaluation ultras that carry a reward for 30 ₹ Lakhs,” the officials said.
After the shootout, reinforcements were rushing on the scene and massive search operations began to neutralize fleeing terrorists, the officials said, adding that the operation was removed late on Sunday (July 20, 2025).
On Monday (July 21, 2025) the morning resumed with security forces that put drones and dogs to persecuted the trail steadily to hunt terrorists, they said.
Officials said that the security forces have already connected escape routes and have expanded operations to nearby areas, but strong leaves and demanding topography are a call for search parties.
