Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy will be in Bhadradri Kothagudem on January 24 and 25 to review the performance of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), jointly owned by the Telangana Government and the Government of India, SCCL sources said.
It will also review the entire range of SCCL’s coal mining activities including future plans.
According to sources, the Union Minister will arrive in Kothagudem on Saturday at 5.30 pm. After his arrival in the coal town, he will hold a review meeting with SCCL Directors and General Managers at Yellandu Club in Kothagudem. He will later hold further meetings with overburden suppliers (OBR) and major coal suppliers.
On Sunday, the Union Minister will hold talks with Singareni unions. He will also visit SCCL corporate office at Kothagudem and Koyagudem open pit mine in Tekulapalli mandal.
