The recent “beautification” initiative in Bengaluru’s Malleswaam came under fire after the executive chairman of Biocon Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and several citizens criticized the quality of the work presented by the larger Bengaluro Authority (GBA).
The Office shared a video on social media, which emphasized the permission of long -term black spots near BBMP School Road in Malleswaam. Efforts submitted by the assistant of the Executive Engineer Rekha were presented as a successful “update to the removal and beautification of black”, while GBA urged the inhabitants to maintain cleanliness in this area.
However, the post drew the widespread resistance. Mazumdar-Shaw, sharing video, questioned the quality of work and wrote, “Are you really proud of it?
Her remarks resonated with many inhabitants who expressed disappointment in the so -called beautification. One user wrote: “The end is worse than any poor country in the world. Terrible work. Workers who have done this work should never have any work. There is no pride in their work.”
Another citizen pointed out the irregularity of such cleaning: “The situation in this country is that it is necessary to celebrate the basic things that are part of the work of the authorities.” Others criticized the need to promote basic civic work at all, one comment reading: “The end is worse than any poor country in the world. He couldn’t spend that GBA was so bad. Terrible work.
The third asked, “Are we really celebrating it ???? is it called beautification?”
While a handful of users acknowledged the intention of the initiative, it was most agreed that the design had left much desirable. “Your efforts are good, but not enough,” one answer.
Given that criticism continues to attach online, GBA has not yet answered concerns about citizens and prominent voices of the city.
In August Shaw pointed out that Bengaluru had the highest talent and a big climate, but criticized his infrastructure. In the X contribution, it advocated to improve waste management and road conditions to increase the global position of the city.
