
King Charles III and Queen Camilla participated in the traditional Easter Sunday Matins Service in the Stan Chapel George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, London, April 20. The 76-year-old monarch, which continued to be treated in 2024 after the diagnosis of cancer, joined his sister, Princess Anne-K Princess Andrew-Dukes.
This annual service remains a key event in the royal calendar, especially for a monarch who serves as the highest governor of the English Church.

Warm greetings and public appearance
After the service, King Charles and Queen Camilla briefly greeted the Blahobytry, who gathered outside the chapel of the 15th century. Camilla, dressed in pale blue and carried the position of flowers, smiled and wished the crowd “Merry Easter”.

Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, was in the chapel of St. Jiří, Windsor, has identified one of the few formal trips, since he returned from a public life in the middle of a series of scandals.
His participation came after the traditional Christmas gathering of the royal family in Sandringham disappeared in 2024, after a renewed control over alleged links to the Chinese spy.

The retreat of Prince Andrew from public duties has been several years. In 2019 he resigned after extensive criticism of his close friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, convicted sexual offenders.
In 2022, he paid an undisclosed settlement with more million pounds Virginii Giuffre, a woman who accused him of sexual assault-the arrest he had repeatedly denied. Despite the claim that he had never met her, Andrew in the US resolved a civil court.

Following the scandal, Queen Elizabeth II took decisive steps to distance the monarchy from controversy. In every official position, she deprived Andrew of his honorary military titles, royal sponsors and the use of HRH (“his royal highness”).
Prince Andrew arrived with his ex -wife Sarah, the Duchess of York and Anne’s husband vice president Sir Tim Laurence, underlining the silent but visible return to royal events.

Wales family is missing again
Especially lacked by Prince William and Princess Kate together with her children George, Charlotte and Louis. The family spends Easter privately in Anmer Hall in Norfolk. They also missed the service in 2024, shortly after their own diagnosis of Princess Kate cancer.
Royal Easter Report reflects war and compassion
In his usual Easter message, released before Sunday, King Charles was thinking about the paradox of human nature – “How we are capable of great cruelty and great kindness.”

“This paradox of human life goes through Easter and in scenes that come every day before our eyes,” he said, referring to “terrible images of human suffering” and “heroic deeds in war countries”.
The king emphasized the lasting need for “faith, hope and love”.
“The Easter message is that God loved the world-the whole world-that he has sent his son to live among us to show us how to love each other, and lay his own life for others in love that proved stronger than death.”
